Quick update on the last couple of weeks. Two weeks ago, we had the opportunity to visit Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hamilton, NY. Pastor Mayo, the Pastor there, was a former BMM missionary to Brazil himself. We had a great time chatting with him and his wife, and they had some good insights for us, since they have first-hand experience there in Brazil. The church had an amazing potluck lunch after the service, and we enjoyed our time of fellowship with the folks there. On our way home Sunday afternoon, we stopped by the Mincys in Waterville, which is right down the road from Hamilton.
The last couple weeks here in Albion have been pretty busy. We have been getting all geared up for today – Victory Baptist Church is hosting a big Chicken Barbecue for the folks of the community, as an outreach opportunity. Everyone in the church is getting involved, and it’s been really exciting to see it all coming together. Be praying with us today that the Lord will use this opportunity to share the Gospel with a lot of folks here in the town.
I’m wrapping up a study through the book of Hebrews, and it has brought me to a phrase in 12:15 that I have been pondering. Author urges that we look carefully, lest anyone should fall short of the grace of God. So, then, “all have fallen short of God’s glory, and some will fall short of His grace.” What does this mean, and what does it imply? Any thoughts, anyone?
Anyway, we’ll let you all know in a few days how today went, and tell you about the meeting we have tomorrow. Keep praying!
