Good afternoon, and Happy Mother’s Day. We apologize for the radio silence over the past couple of weeks. We have not had internet since we moved into our new house, and have been making do without. But we have a connection at the moment, so I wanted to give you all a quick update as to what’s been happening on our new side of São Paulo.
Saturday the 30th we moved out to the West Side of São Paulo. The move went very smoothly, and without incident. Since then we have been slowly emptying totes and finding new homes for things. Here in Brazil houses don’t necessarily have closets, so it’s important to have lots of dresser space. Dressers were built into our first house, so we didn’t have to worry about that before. However, we are now needing dressers. So Emily is coming up wiht some creative ideas. In the meanwhile, our totes are sufficing as dressers.
Our new church had a Mother’s Day tea yesterday, which went really well. There was participation from a number of other area churches, and a number of guests as well. It seemed to be a good time of encouragement for all the ladies involved.
Well, need to run for now. We’ll give a more complete update as soon as we have internet at home again. Thanks for all your prayers in this time of transition!
