A New Year, New Opportunities

Good morning, friends and Family. We are now firmly in the grips of a new year and have a few new things to tell you about. First of all, as you probably know, we have been working with church restoration at our church, Good News Baptist Church. We finished preparing our church’s constitution and doctrinal statement in late 2019, and we were just accepted as a fellowshiping church in the state association of Regular Baptist Churches. This was a process we had been trying to work on for a while now, so it was with great satisfaction that, last weekend at the annual association meeting, we were accepted as partner church.

This semester I (Brandon) will be lecturing on the doctrine of the church here at the Bible College. So I have spent the past several weeks studying and compiling my lecture notes for this class. The semester will begin at the end of February.

Gracie is 11 months old now, and has reached the teething stage of life with a vengeance. The incoming teeth seem to be bothering her a lot these days. But she is making good progress on learning to walk, and has taken her first few unaided steps over the past few days. Her balance is getting better by the day. It’s amazing how quickly they grow!

Chloe is learning her ABCs, and knows the sounds to almost all the letters. She is anxious to learn how to read. In fact, a common question these days is, “Mommy, can I start to read now?” She is also learning to ride her bike. She is doing very well both with pedaling and steering. We’re not quite ready to take the training wheels off yet, but she is picking it up well.

That’s about all the news from the Amazon for the past few weeks. Thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our ministry here.
